Mr. Sleep
Mr. Sleep, where have you been
I'm waiting for you, can't fall asleep
Due to the strain inside my head
I keep tossing about in my bed
The nuisance is making me mad
Could not sleep for just one sec.
Did not have a moment's peace
Therefore I've stopped counting sheep
Perhaps the bleating of the sheep
Causes this awful lack of sleep
Next time I'll better count clouds
They float by without a sound
Now my head is completely expired
For I am so awfully tired
In this moment I am a total wreck
Please Mr. Sleep, give me a rest
