The Garment Cloaked

Life is like a busy loom

Weaving the fibers made by your mood

Caused by the moments of hope and despair

Creating this unique and delicate wear

All your emotions are processed in this wear

In quite a colour spectrum they do flare

Like the passionate red or the rightful blue

The fresh green and the warm yellow too

For the loom, it likes to weave

Making material of each fiber received

Each colour represents a different tone

Beautifying the designed garment cloaked

Richly decorated by all you’ve lived through

Derived from each of your diverge moods

It’s made out of material just one of a kind

The garment cloaked is invisble for the eye

This poem is about the fibers woven by a loom (a machine that produces material for making clothes). The fibers are coloured by the sentiments you lived through during your life. These sentiments are woven together into a unique piece of clothing, which only can be seen by the mind. Every person wears his own characteristic, cloaked clothes as in every person has to bear his own burden. Flare means a sudden outburst of emotions.

The Wall

The Wall

People sometimes hold on to their past

The foster care, the foster homes

For years they are not able to forget

The feeling of being abandoned and alone

Therefore they build themselves a huge wall

To keep all the sentiments away

It is not easy to destroy

Behind the wall is their safest place

But if there is the urge to overcome

And the spirit will be holding on

The eyes fixed on the future

Determination should make them strong

But there is always a part that’s left behind

Of that deep down hidden child

For ever secured in that adult’s mind

It will haunt them for the rest of their life
